Choosing Between Digital Cameras and Cell Phone Cameras

Around the late 90's, many Digital cameras began to replace a lot of the older analog modeled cameras. Now, there is a similar trend that has many questioning whether cellular device cameras will replace the standard point and shoot digital cameras. This article will go into depth as to why cellular phone cameras will soon replace many of the digital camera devices that are currently out there.

Many believe that the emergence of cellular phones into the market threatens the survival of the basic, low to mid-range, point and shoot digital cameras. There was an important study performed by optical component experts Schneider Kreuznach that verifies the capabilities of mobile phone photography. Approximately 1,000 camera users from different countries were interviewed regarding how they prefer to take photographs. Many of the interviewed camera users agreed that due to the technologically advanced features of mobile phones, they believe that cell phone cameras provide users with better quality pictures.

An amazingly low 32% percect of the individuals said that they would still prefer their digital cameras over smart phones. There were a large number of users from Asia that were very open to using cell phones for all of their picture taking needs. They even said that they would easily trade-off their digital camera for a high-end cellular phone should they be given the chance to.

Smart phone manufacturers recognize the importance of optimizing their camera capabilities and producing models that have higher-resolution with stronger lens systems. It is already a known fact that many of the major brand manufacturers of cellular phones have teamed up with digital camera manufacturers to create even stronger and updated devices for the future. This will prove to be a strong teamup considering that many users will soon start to use cellular phones because of the other great features they provide. Mobile phones have reached great levels of popularity due to the incredible features and applications that are available. Some of the top manufacturers have already created many different Motorola Droid 3 accessories, Samsung Conquer 4G accessories and Samsung Function accessories to help you get the most out of your mobile phone.

Becuase of consumer demand for better quality cameras on cell phones, manufacturers have worked hard to meet these demands. With cell phones, consumers soon begand to realize that they did not need to have to seperate devices for taking pictures. One of the current limitations of smart phone cameras is the limited amount of storage for photo images. This will be resolved when the resolution starts to become sharper and increase the amount of megapixels, the storage will then increase.

Many of the high-end digital cameras are still more optimized for photography because they can take higher quality pictures than mobile devices. But casual picture takers are not as concerned with these differences. What attracts many customers to mobile devices is that they offer many great features all in one, small, easy to carry device. Technology will continue to advance and mobile phone manufacturers will devise ways to continue to improve the image quality of their cameras. It may not be long before the actual quality of the pictures on a smart phone far exceeds the capabilities of the traditional digital camera.
